Lazy Sundays!

Hello my friends :) today it is time for a little look into lazy Sundays. Doesn't everyone love them? I'm talking about those days you have every few weeks where it's all yours. No homework, no stress just good old fashioned chill time.

It's kind of making me want one right now but I must continue - let me set the scene...

It's late morning and you're just getting up, you've spent the last hour on your phone and now it's time to rise. You realise that you don't have anything to do today and that means it is time to get out your leggings and a big ol' fluffy jumper. Love it. Maybe you're up for putting on a bit of makeup after you do your teeth? Heres how I go about it:

- slap on a bit-o-BB cream and I love the BodyShop one.
- wack on your mascara to add life to your eyes, I recommend The Falsies from Maybelline.
- pile on some cheeky lip balm, the new BabyLips are lovely especially the purple one, get pouting!

Go ahead and add more but for the basics this about does it. But don't get me wrong, I love a no makeup day but sometimes you want a bit of umphh.

Now it's time for some breakie. Whether it be cereal, toast or the whole sha-bang with a full english it is seriously important on starting your day. "This tank doesn't run on empty' as so many ladies have so eloquently put it. Food is just a nice way to start off your Sunday :)

On with the rest of the day...

You could watch your favoirite show or try a new film out, read a book or a magazine. The possibilities are absolutely endless. It's just about doing what is right for you.

Personally I like a bit of Youtube, nothing like a few videos to somehow pass four hours. I generally follow that up with reading some Elle. It's one of my favourite magazines and it usually comes with a few samples.

Lazy Sundays are my guilty pleasure and hopefully some of my tips can help you enjoy yours to the max.

Thanks for reading...

Amazing Face Mask! x

Now, for a girl with very oily skin, you can take my word for it when I say... it's a nightmare! I'm also prone to breakouts because of all the oil (huh life). So I'm always looking for products to help with this issue and I came across this...

Soap and Glory - No Clogs Allowed

Can we just talk about the name? It just pulls you in and someone with an issue like mine is just drawn to it.

Soap and Glory is a great brand so I only had to do a little research to confirm what I was thinking and all the reviews and blog posts I saw were positive. It is a little bit more expensive than I would have liked it to be so I took advantage of a third off deal on at the time so it was £6.66 instead of £9.99.

I apply this twice a week straight after the shower and leave it on for around 10 mins so it can dry. It is blue in colour and quite smooth while being a little thick. It is supposed to change colour once dry but the change was so slight I would recommend taking it off when you feel it's dry.

The most interesting part of this is the fact when you apply it, it heats up. Now you're probably thinking it can't get that warm but it does! I'm absolutely amazed at how hot it gets, but it doesn't feel uncomfortable. I will never know how they do that but it certainly is entertaining.

When it comes to the results it just keeps getting better. My skin feels so smooth and clean every time I take it off and I can really notice a difference in my skin. So, it has just done wonders and I couldn't be happier with the product.

So, all in all I love this product and will definitely be picking up another when I run out.

Auf Wiedersehen!! (Sorry too much Project Runway)

Recent Haul! x

Well...long time no blog post, sorry about that, don't really have a real excuse :( But now I'm back and will be posting every week WOOH!

So I thought what better way to start posting than with a haul that probably shouldn't of happened - but it did.

First item is the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, in the lightest shade (Chantilly). I've wanted to try it for a while because of people on YouTube raving about it. Now I have to say it is absolutely amazing! Never has a colour matched me so well that it looks like im not wearing anything! It covers so well and leaves my skin looking flawless (well as close to it as it gets). It costs £22 which is on the pricey side but if you're looking to invest in a good concealer then I definitely recommend this one :)

Next is my Mac Lipstick in Hue, again I find that this is quite a popular lipstick on YouTube. Now, I set out to buy Creme Cup but little did I know that it is literally the exact same colour as my YSL lipstick in the Shade 1. So I unintentionally found a cheaper dupe for a lipstick I already own - sucks to be me. I thought that I may as well pick up a lipstick I also wanted and I'm so glad I did. It is a very light nude shade with a hint of pink. I think it compliments so many skin tones which is probably why it's so popular. It is a Glaze finish so it's really buildable, I love the fact you can control the amount of colour you get on your lips. It was £15 and seriously, think about getting it, love it!

I just had to pick up another eyeshadow for my palette and I couldn't resist All That Glitters, such a beautiful colour. It is quite a warm toned bronze/brown colour and looks gorgeous in the crease or for a darker look all over the eyelid. I think it is also a great start to a Mac eyeshadow collection because of how versatile it is. I got the pan version so it was only £10 which I thought wasn't too bad.

Lastly, from Mac I got Studio Fix Fluid in NC15 which of course is the lightest colour in the NC range. This buy was influenced by VelvetGh0st - check out her channel if you haven't. She raves about it constantly and I was pretty excited when I was the same shade as Gaby (lame). But I love it and actually can't get enough, it covers so well and looks really natural. I have quite oily skin and it really helps keep me matte, even without powder! Some people have issues with it breaking them out, but luckily I didn't suffer with that issue. Along with most of the Mac foundations it was £21.50 which was totally worth it.

The last item I'm going to talk about is the Tanya Burr lipgloss in Afternoon Tea which might be the most exciting thing on the list. As if it isn't amazing enough that it is aTanya Burr branded product, it smells like Haribo Strawbs! Delicious. It is so well pigmented and I wasn't expecting that, and it isn't sticky at all. Pretty much the perfect product and not too expensive at £7.

Well, that's the end of this haul and I hope you enjoyed it, and maybe got influenced to buy a few new bits. Go on, treat yourself ;)

Peace out chicas x

Product Spotlight : MaxFactor 3 in 1 Foundation

Well hello there...(I feel like this is becoming a theme)
Today's blog is all about the MaxFactor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation... that is quite a mouthful - that's what she said.
Anyway, I wanted to do another blog on a singular product so quickly after the first because I couldn't hold it in. I am absolutely,  completely and totally in love with this foundation. It has changed my life, kinda like how the internet did...
Im going to start with the basics, the price of this is £11.99 but Boots and Superdrug always have an offer on. I do think it is very expensive but it is really worth it.
When I use it, it glides over my face and creates an even coverage, with none of those weird orange patches?!?

This product 'claims' to be a primer, foundation and concealer all in one. I agree with this - to an extent, let me explain...
It stays on all day so I agree with the primer.
It makes your face even and makes it all look the same...seems to be a foundation.
But, what I will say is it doesn't conceal.
It has a medium to full coverage, but if you have blemishes it doesn't really cover them. It covers the majority but not really pesky things.
I don't think this is a bad thing because you don't want a foundation that is so high coverage it gets rid of everything, you just leave that to concealer.
I love the staying power, the silky smooth feel and the coverage. It os perfect for me and by the looks of people on the internet who have tried it, so do they!!

Oh and in case you were wondering I wear the colour Light Ivory 40, and yes that is the lightest shade. I have insanely pale skin and this is the lightes foundation from the drugstore I have used so that's a plus as well :)

You knew this was coming...

Apocalips Review! ♥

Well hello there!!!!!!! (Too many Jess)
Today's blog is going to me talking about  a product (well three) that I reallly love :) Rimmel Apocalips if that wasn't clear already. So on with the review...
First up is the three colours 'Nova'(pink), 'Big Bang'(red) and 'Luna'(orange), those names are sooo cute, I love the way they are all space themed.
Now, all of them are highly pigmented, I can bet that the colour they look on the container is exactly the same as the colour that comes out on the lips, and not just the ones that I own.
They are a liquid lipstick with a slight stain to them - the little multitasking devils. They dry to a satin finish, with a slight shine and stay on for 6+ hours (perfect for school).
The packaging is divine, it shows the colour and the 'handle' -don't know if that's what it's called- has detail at the top, which makes it look more expensive. They actually retail at £5.99, what a bargain...bucket!!
The only thing I don't like about them is the smell, personally I don't enjoy it. At all. I wouldn't be able to describe it specifically, I think it's just one of those products doesn't smell too good, for me. But I can get past the smell in order to wear them.

So overall I will give them (drum roll please)...

Top 3 Perfumes! ♥

Well hello there :)
So it's Sunday and today I decided that I smelt good...as unusual as that is, anyway it got me thinking that some perfume is jist goooood. So I'm going to tell you what my most indulgent scents are that are perfect for a quick spritz.
I can't actually pick a favourite of of them all there is not order for them.
God damn it indecisive brain!!
On with the perfume...

First up if probably the most classy of the scents the Jimmy Choo perfume (original).
Brace yourselves for my intense smell describing skills...
It's not sweet at all and is quite musky and I have to admit I didn't like it at first, but it has grown on me. For me it's like a smell you would expect from a successful lady living in New York. (That was scarily in depth) But it just seems very grown up. Perfect for when you're dressing up and going out for a meal.

Next up is Jean Paul Gaultier 'Classique' and this is a step in between sweet and erm... I want to say savoury but that's not right? Anyway, again a little musky but I has a little kick to it. I don't know what that kick is but its got it. I would use this when I was going on a day trip or an 'outing'.

Last I have Calvin Kline 'One Shock Streetwise Edition' (like KFC I know!!) Now this is definitely very sweet and I can't really smell much else. However, it isn't sickly sweet and that makes it very easy to use. It is the most 'fun' of all the perfumes and I would wear it when I was going out with friends or to the beach.

So that's the end of my favourite perfumes!! I hope you enjoyed and gained something from the experience!

Product Spotlight: Collection Cream Puff x

Well hello there... (creepy intro)
Since it's my first 'offical' post with a legit product I thought I may as well start off with something that I - well - gosh darn love :)
That just happens to be the Collection Cream Puff in the 'pink one' - doesn't seem to have a name :/
But anyways, I pretty much love this little guy, he's creamy (as the name suggests) with a lovely matte finish - or as the packaging so wonderfully puts it 'velvety soft, matte finish lip cream'.
Now, I don't know about you, but (I'm not going to, but I did consider it) I didn't hear much about these when they came out. It was only through the excessive amount of time that I stand looking a makeup that I found them.
If you haven't already PICK ONE UP! They are heaven in a bottle. All I can think of it how delicously amazing they feel on the lips.
Perhaps you're not the biggest lipstick lover? This fixes the problem.
Never have I come across a product that stays on your lips like its stuck, but in such a lovely way.
The smell is divine, the pigmentation is immense and the feel is just delectable!!
Here comes the bad part... there are only three colours other than this one...
One is very - very nude, foundation lips if you ask me...
One is brown - I'm all for it, but it may be a little dark...
The last is orange. Need I say more?
I'm not saying that all these colours are bad for everyone, but they are for me.
Come on Collection bring out some more in a rainbow of colours!
So in short... I love the one I own and I want more in colours that haven't been made yet :D

I have devised a way of rating a product, it's very sophisticated,  I call it... the waffle method *hold for gasp*
I will be awarding the idividual product a score of 1-5 waffles, 5 being the best. I will use a half if necessary and will only mark down according to the product itself.

So I give the Collection Cream Puff (pinky one)...
